InvestNext Launches MCP Early Access Program

InvestNext MCP is a read-only intelligence layer that gives general partners natural-language access to their InvestNext investor, project, and capital-raise data inside Claude

The AI you already use. The InvestNext data you already trust.

The way our clients expect to access information has changed.

The sponsors we work with stopped waiting for AI to come to them. They went to it. Most of the GP and IR teams I talk to are already using Claude every day. They prep with it, draft outreach with it, think out loud about a raise with it. Claude is where the work happens.

It’s just that, until now, Claude couldn’t see the data that actually runs their business.

That gap is the reason InvestNext MCP exists. Today, we’re opening Early Access to a small cohort of sponsors who want to help us build V1.

What MCP is

InvestNext MCP gives GPs natural-language access to their InvestNext data, inside Claude. Ask who your top investors are. Ask how your latest capital raise is tracking. Ask for talking points before a 9 a.m. call. The answer comes from your own data, grounded in the accuracy you expect from an investment management platform.

MCP is a read-only intelligence layer that connects the AI tools you already use to the relationship and capital data living in InvestNext. The data stays where it belongs, but accessing it finally catches up to the standard AI has set everywhere else.

Answers instead of dashboards. Synthesized from your data. And permission-aware, ensuring the privacy and user-level access controls you set in InvestNext carry over into Claude.

What sponsors can do

A handful of the asks we built this for:

Knowing the investor

  • “Give me a list of my top investors and their contact information.”
  • “Give me a detailed summary of John Doe’s investments with me.”
  • “Any recent conversations with my team or notes on Jane Doe I should know about?”

Knowing the fund

  • “What was the total amount we raised in Fund II?”
  • “How much capital do we have left to call in Fund II?”
  • “Give me a list of all Class A investors in Fund II.”
  • “What was the last distribution amount sent to investor John Doe in Fund II?”

Showing up prepared

  • “I’m about to talk to investor Jane Doe. Give me talking points based on her investments with us and any recent updates we’ve sent out.”
  • “Create a short summary or deck from those talking points.”
  • “Put together a one-pager I can take to my coffee meeting with John Doe.”

Every answer comes from your InvestNext data, accessed and verified in seconds. The personal touch your firm is known for scales past the constraint of which team member happens to be at their desk that day.

What it looks like in practice

You have a call on the calendar with one of your newest investors. It’s a relationship you want to deepen ahead of the raise you’re about to launch.

In the past, a conversation like this required coordination. A prep meeting with IR. A brief assembled across multiple team members. Time and resources spent before the conversation even started.

Your team lives in your investor portal. The investor records, the fund performance, the capital activity: it’s all there, maintained and up to date. Now you open Claude, ask a question, and get a complete picture drawn directly from that data: where this investor stands, how the fund is tracking, what’s been committed and what hasn’t.

The depth your team has built in the platform, surfaced in a single conversation, at a moment’s notice.

You get on the call ready. The conversation and the relationship move accordingly.

That is the moment InvestNext MCP is built for.

Why we built it this way

One possible path was to build our own AI experience inside InvestNext. Most investment management platforms in our category are doing that.

But I think they’re misreading where sophisticated sponsor teams actually are with AI and what the future will hold.

The GPs we serve already built their own fluency. They have working sessions, favorite prompts, agents, and workflows that won’t fit inside the box a vendor’s chatbot would prescribe. Asking them to leave a cutting-edge environment for a tool one update behind whatever they’re already using is a step backward. Asking them to leave agents on the table for a chat interface misses the real opportunity that AI can deliver.

So we made a different choice. We connected InvestNext to the AI environment our clients already chose. The short version: we built a connector. We trust the AI our clients already trust, read-only and permission-aware. The start of an agentic future that we will build with our clients.

Why we’re running an Early Access Program

We could have shipped quietly. We chose to do this in the open instead.

MCP is the first step of a longer build. The work in this category is going agentic. AI agents will execute on a sponsor’s data, the routine tasks and the sensitive ones, with a GP in the loop where the stakes call for it. But agents are only as useful as the source of truth they’re grounded in, and InvestNext is that source of truth: the investors, the raises, the funds, the deals, the performance. MCP is what finally connects the agentic system to it.

Early Access is intentionally small. We’re building V1 alongside the sponsors who’ll use it most, and we’re using the same cohort to refine MCP and shape the agents that come after it. The questions a GP actually asks AI about their portfolio are too operational and too specific to design from the inside. The agents we build next will demand even more direct input from the people they’re built for.

Cohort partners get hands-on access from now through GA, a direct line to me and the product team every week and real influence over the agents that come next.

What we’re asking for in return is honesty: real workflows and honest feedback. The opportunity is real. The right agents, the ones that deliver the most value and solve the biggest challenges in your firm, get built together or they don’t get built at all.

If your firm has built AI into how you operate, we want to talk.

The Future is Agentic

The next generation of investment management software will be defined by which platform is honest about that, and which one connects best to the AI environments their clients already chose.

InvestNext is the source of truth for our clients’ business. The investor records, the capital raise history, the asset and fund and deal performance: it lives in the platform. The work that surrounds that data is going agentic. AI agents will execute on the routine tasks and the sensitive ones with a human in the loop. MCP is the first step in that direction.

The firms who lean in first will scale their advantage.

Their preparation will be faster. Their LP relationships will grow past the constraint of who happens to be at their desk. Their decisions will move at the speed of the question.

And the agents that come next will arrive shaped by them.

That’s the bet we’re making. And it’s the bet we want to make with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the InvestNext MCP Early Access Program?

InvestNext MCP Early Access is a small cohort of sponsors collaborating with InvestNext to build InvestNext MCP and the next generation of real estate investment management agents. Learn more and get early access at investnext.com/mcp-early-access

What does InvestNext MCP do for GPs today?

InvestNext MCP gives general partners natural-language access to their InvestNext data inside Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant. GPs can ask Claude questions about their investors, funds, and capital raises and get answers grounded in their actual InvestNext records — in seconds, without leaving the AI environment they already use.

Who should apply to the Early Access Program?

Sponsors whose teams already use Claude in their day-to-day operating environment. The program is built for GP and IR teams that have built AI fluency into how they prep for meetings, draft outreach, and think through raises, and now want their InvestNext data accessible in that same environment.

What do Early Access cohort partners get?

Complimentary access to InvestNext MCP, a direct line to the InvestNext product team, and real influence over the V1 feature set and the agents InvestNext will build next. Cohort partners help shape what gets built and the order it ships.

How does InvestNext MCP handle data permissions and security?

InvestNext MCP is permission-aware. It respects the same user access controls a sponsor already sets inside InvestNext. Data stays inside the sponsor’s InvestNext account.

How do I apply to InvestNext MCP Early Access?

Apply at investnext.com/mcp-early-access. Matthew Attou and the InvestNext product team read every application personally. Selection is based on fit between the sponsor’s AI fluency and the V1 build agenda.
